Uncle Casper and Theo go shopping

For the first time that anybody can remember Mom and Dad took an overnight trip, and Theo and Ruby stayed with Uncle Casper, Gramma, and Grampa. We went to Charlottesville for an interview and managed to convince everybody that it would be best to leave the kids.

So Kuya Casper was supposed to take Theo to daycare on the second day, but he got suckered! Theo looked at him with big brown eyes and said, "Uncle Tapper, can I just stay here with you?" And Uncle said, "Okay fine, but we're going shopping!" They went to the mall, bought come stylish stuff that Mom and Dad never would have been able to put together, and then had a photo shoot.

Theodore sings about holding bananas

He was sitting in his high chair, and while nobody was even paying attention to him, he sang this little ditty to the tune of "The Bear Went Over the Mountain":

I am holding bananas
I am holding bananas
I am holding bananas
La la la la la

Santa Claus is "that man"

Theo doesn't know who Santa Claus is or that he's supposed to be a really special guy around Christmas time. Sometimes you just assume that all children know about Santa Claus. We haven't made any mention about any Santa to Theo, not really because we're against it, more just because we forgot and it's not a priority. So it was amusing when Theo pointed out a Santa on our Christmas tree and said, "Look Mama, look at that man there."

Theo is having a weird week. It all started when we cleaned up the living room to make room for the Christmas tree. It stressed him out or something, because he is crying and whining a lot. It is almost like a relapse from when we moved to our current house and Ruby was born. I hope he gets over it, because it is a trial!
